I thought I would try a micro posting, so here we go. Today while working I have had one track on You Tube on repeat and that track is the excellent ‘Anything Could Happen’ by Ellie Goulding. This ethereal track is new and well worth a listen. It makes me smile as so often now popular music is the same rubbish over and over but this is more like what I normally listen to (big fan of the Psych Rock of the 1960’s) and it is catchy as hell. So the link is below to the video…give it a try. Am I right or wrong that this is a top track?

This is a great find! In fact, I have now checked out the album that this song is from (“Halcyon”) and think I’ll be buying it. And it’s available on 7digital apparently. That’s pretty cool.

Thanks for your comment. I went out and bought the Halcyon album the next day and enjoyed it though some of the tracks were a bit of a let down. Check out ‘Guns and Horses’ which I think is Ellie’s other best song.

I actually quite enjoyed the album in it’s whole (save for one or two tracks that I liked less, though nothing really jarring). But then I’m a big fan of electronic music. I quite liked the dramatic sci-fi feel this album sort of has. Very suitable to listen to while doing that recent piece of concept art. 😉
Yes, it did have a sort of vibe to it that made me think of vintage Dr Who in places. I come and go on music, but it was good and I will listen to Halcyon again.
